Success Story

Before the success there was the love for the creature - the horse. It was the passion for the equestrian sport, for the harmony between horse and rider and the fierce determination why she devoted herself to this sport. Sabine´s first love at the age of six was the pony mare “Taiga”, a present from her parents.

At the age of 14 Sabine qualified for the German Junior Championships for the first time.
Sabine´s first big breakthrough came when she was 17. With her mount “Alassio” she won the team and the individual gold medal at the European Championships in Cervia, Italy. At the same time she received the Golden Rider´s Badge awarded by the German Federation for 10 victories at higher FEI-levels.

Sabine managed to win four times double gold at European and at German Championships for Young Riders in a row. Moreover she won the small tour at the CHIO Aachen and at the CDI Wiesbaden several times. This outstanding success has never been repeated since and Sabine is well aware that she owes much of her success to the strong support she received from her parents during her time as a Young Rider.

With “Epernay” – her Gold Medal horse at the 1991 German Young Rider Championships- Sabine attained her first season at Grand Prix with many scores and high rankings in the high 60´s.
Another big leap in Sabine´s career was her nomination for the German longlist called “B-Kader” at the age of 21. A prestigious achievement in a country with hundreds of Grand Prix riders. Her partner was called “Rosario” who had been trained by Sabine´s father Hans.

With Rosario she earned her first victories in Grand Prix and high rankings at famous CDI´s like Aachen, Stuttgart and Donaueschingen. In 1998 she won the FEI-Grand Prix Freestyle at the Rolinck Cup in Münster after very high rankings in the Grand Prix and the GPS the days before.

Another successful mount for both, national and international podium was “Giovanni”. He achieved numerous high rankings and victories in Grand Prix with Sabine, especially an excellent 2nd place in the FEI-Grand Prix Freestyle of the CDI-Tour at the CHIO Aachen behind Anky van Grunsven and the victory in the Grand Prix Special of the Oldenburger Horse Days 1998.

The horses “Derby” and “Weltfuerst” came to Sabine´s barn in 2000. Both horses already competed successfully at the World Championships for young horses before Sabine picked up their training and qualified both of them for the final of the Nürnberger Burgpokal, the stallion Weltfuerst twice in a row.

The Seasons of 2004 and 2005 were successful with various victories at FEI-level and two highlights being a 3rd place in the FEI-Grand Prix-Freestyle with Layout at the Rolinck Cup in Münster and a 3rd place in the FEI-Grand Prix-Freestyle of Aubenhausen with Bon-Bon.

These past two years Sabine took on new challenges and focused on establishing her own business.
Speaking of Challenge! One of Sabine´s mottos is a famous quote by Hisham Lamei “challenges demand smart ideas, vision, controllable complexity and spirit for change”. She strives to live by this dictum every day.
